Frankly, I still have the same project on the design wall as has been there for what? A month? Two months? with no progress on it. So I won't show a picture of it. Just know it hasn't been worked on. Nor has any other sewing project.
However, I am itching to get started on quilting this for my friend:
I know, it doesn't show much, but I didn't want to unfold it until I'm ready to take some pins to hold the blue tape in place, so that I can stitch the first diagonal lines as 'place holders' or guide-lines. I need to load some bobbins with the correct color (and move my stamp collection off my sewing spaces). She had dark brown thread in the supplies she gave to me, so I will use that.
Do you see that 'patchwork spread' underneath it? I wanted a patchwork blanket back in the late 1970s, so I got a variety of plain old yarn - probably polyester at that - and crocheted these blocks, then whip-stitched them together with yarn. Kinda hokey now, but I still like it and still use it - it's incredibly warm and my kitties love it too.
Hop on over to Patchwork Times and see what all those other fabulous quilters are working on.
I wish I still had the crochet blanket I made myself in the 70s. Congratulations for hanging on to yours!
